Valentine’s day used to be just the two of us going to see a movie at the theatre and eating nachos. When love grows from two to four people, we celebrate Valentine’s day together.
I prepared a gift of chocolate and took my husband and the youngest to lunch. We had the lunch special at Perico’s. Perico’s is an authentic Mexican cuisine restaurant in the Stone Oak area. The place is decorated beautifully with Spanish decor. We love that we can eat outside and watch the kids play on the playground.
The owner is a generous man. He provides the restaurant’s gift cards for our fundraising as well as vacation package customers.
Our little one loves the playground. He wanted to go up and down so many times. He is so brave for his age.
We left the restaurant with the joy of Valentine's’ day in our hearts. The food was great. The service was excellent even though the restaurant was packed with guests. The most important thing was Toby had so much fun.
In the evening, we thought that it would be nice if our older one could celebrate with his best friends. We texted their mom and she immediately responded that they will join us for dinner at Sushi Zushi. This Japanese restaurant is always packed, but yummy food is worth the wait. The kids were so happy to celebrate with one another. They enjoyed the food and laughed with funny jokes until the end of dinner.
The best part of Valentine’s Day was to spend time with people we love and care about in our lives.
